How Do I Order Online?
Online Ordering is really quite easy! Just find an item you wish to buy, select a quantity and color (where applicable), and click on the ADD TO CART button. The item you selected will be placed in your shopping cart. To buy the item, click the CHECKOUT button. Follow the step-by-step instructions, and completely fill out the secure order form. Click the CHECKOUT button once more, and your order is complete! You will receive an e-mail order confirmation when we have processed your order.

Do you accept Visa/MasterCard gift cards?
Yes, we accept these types of cards. Please be sure you have the correct billing address or address used when purchasing this card so your order processes successfully.

Can I Order By Mail?
Yes! We accept money orders and personal checks by mail. You can print and complete our mail in order form and mail in with payment.

Can I Order By E-Mail?
No. Information sent via e-mail is not secure. But with our secure online ordering system your order and credit card information is encrypted to prevent anyone else from accessing your information.

Do you take checks by phone?
No. We only accept checks by mail.

Yes! You can send money orders and personal checks by mail. You can print and complete our mail in order form and send with your payment.

Absolutely not. Order what you like without have to worry about meeting requirements.

Do you have a dealer program?
Yes, we do have a dealer program in which approved dealers can purchase at a discount and sell our products to their own customers. First, please review our dealer policies and, if you would like to become a dealer, contact customer service at 888-642-0007 to begin your application process.

What is your turn around time?
On orders placed for stock items, meaning items that are ready to ship at any time, the turn around time is one (1) to two (2) business days. On backordered items, shipment time can vary. Please call our toll free number, 1-888-642-0007, for details if you have an item on backorder. For custom orders, please see the FAQ for custom items.

How Do I Check My Order Status?
You should receive a same-day email confirmation of your online order and a second e-mail confirmation of shipment when your order is filled. If you have questions about the status of your order, please contact us at 1-888-642-0007 or login to the Order Status page and it will list your orders and provide you with up to date order status. NOTE: You must be a registered member at the time of purchase to be able to view your order status online.

What does backordered mean?
When an item is backordered, it means we have run low or out of stock on this particular item and are unable to ship at the present time. You will not need to re-order the item. We will keep this item on your present order and when it arrives, will ship this to you.

How long do backorders take?
Backorder times can vary depending on the product. If you have ordered and received your packing list, please refer to this for your item's expected backorder time. If you need additional information on a backorder, please call customer service at 1-888-642-0007 for assistance.



Custom Order Questions

Can I order custom items online?
Yes, many of our custom items are available to order online. These items include custom badges, wallets, body armor, and PVC ID cards. Our website will collect all custom information before you add to your shopping cart. For PVC ID cards, you will only need to email a photo and/or signature needed for the card after you checkout.

How can I submit my information for my id card or badge?
For our standard ID cards or badges, no information is necessary. We do not customize these items. Our line of PVC ID cards can be customized and you can email your photo to images@nles.com and include your order number for accurate processing or reply to the confirmation e-mail and attach your photo to it. Our line of custom badges can be customized as well. You can find the order form here or you can order from our custom badge section of the website. Information needed for any custom work requires that the customer submit this information by email, fax, mail, or online during checkout. No exceptions.

How long do custom items take?
  • Custom badges take approximately 4 to 6 weeks before shipping. Most custom badge orders drop ship directly from our manufacturer, Smith & Warren.
  • Custom wallets take approximately 2 to 3 weeks before shipping. Most custom wallet orders drop ship directly from our manufacturer, Perfect Fit.
  • Folios and PVC ID cards take approximately 10 days business days to process before shipping.
  • Body Armor orders usually ship within 6 to 8 weeks.

Do I have to send my photo for my ID’s?
For standard ID cards, a photo is not necessary. You will complete this item and laminate upon receipt.
For PVC ID cards and Folios, you will need to either mail or email your photo along with your order number (if available). All Folios and some PVC ID cards show your signature on them. You'll need to send this as well.

How do I send my photo?
You can email or mail your photo. The quickest way that reduces the most delay for your order is to email it. Our email for photos, and signatures, is images@nles.com. If you'd prefer to mail your photo, please see our Contact Us page for our mailing address. All photo and signature submissions need to have your order number included. Forgetting to include your order number will delay us matching your photo with your order.

Why do custom badges take so long?
Each custom badge is hand made through a streamlined process, the minute you place an order. From start to finish, a badge specialist is applying the badge finish, engraving the wording, applying the center seal, attaching your backing, and checking for proper fit and finish. Why is my custom badge backordered?
No worries, it's not actually backordered.

Our order system only classifies items as either in stock, or not. Since custom badges are made to order and not sitting on the shelf ready to go, it will show it's backordered (like a normal non-custom item would). Once you place your order, we immediately submit your badge details for manufacturing. Once it ships, your order status will update from "backordered" to "complete". You will not experience a backorder delay; there will only be a 4-6 week time frame before you receive it while your badge is manufactured and mailed.

How much does shipping and handling cost?
If you are ordering online, shipping and handling costs will be automatically calculated at the time of sale based on the calculated weight of your items and selected delivery method at the time of checkout. If you are ordering through the mail or fax, please see our standard order form for a detailed chart on shipping and handling costs.

Which services do you use to ship my order?
We offer standard and priority delivery services. Our system will ship your order with the most economical carrier for your service selected. Standard Service includes these carriers/options:
  • USPS First Class Mail
  • USPS Parcel Post
  • UPS Ground
  • International Airmail
Priority Service includes these carriers/options:
  • USPS Priority Mail
  • UPS 3rd Day Service (not necessarily Air)
  • USPS Global Express Mail

Why can’t I ship, or can I ship, to another address?
Orders over $150 dollars MUST ship to the credit card holder’s billing address. No exceptions.

How long does a US Mail order take to arrive?
Typically, 7 to 10 business days from the time we receive your order.

Why can’t I ship my order via US Mail?
All orders over $300.00 and/or custom work must ship UPS services (signature required), or trackable USPS Service.

Why do I have to sign for a package shipping via UPS, or will I have to?
NIC Law Enforcement Supply understands many of our customers are at work or on site, so we do not require a signature for delivery on most orders. Orders over $250 may require a signature and cannot be waived.

Do you ship internationally?
Yes. We ship all over the globe via our Global shipping service option. Some countries may not be covered, please see our Shipping Policies for this list.

Do you ship COD?
No.

How do I put the information on the id’s?
Information can be added, for example, with a typewriter. You can check with local colleges or libraries for help with this.

Do I include or have to send a picture with my order for my id’s?
  • For standard ID cards, a photo is not necessary. You will complete this item and laminate upon receipt.
  • For PVC ID cards and Folios, you will need to either mail or email your photo along with your order number (if available).

Do the laminates come with the id’s, or do I have to purchase them?
No, you do not need to purchase the laminates. Any id or folio purchase will include 1 laminate pouch per item, along with directions. If you require extra laminates, they are available. All PVC ID cards are made of a hard plastic that doesn't require lamination.

Do you sell handcuffs and guns?
We sell handcuffs, restraint products, air soft pistols, and real action markers, but not guns. We are always adding new products, so we encourage you to check back on a regular basis.

Are the certificates filled in?
No. This is not a customizable item.

Do I change the center seal myself and are all the badges able to have this done?
Yes, the seal is changed by the customer. Most of our badges have this capability, except, but not limited to the M194, M134, M129, and M138. Also, any of the badges that are available in a wallet size are not able to have the center seal changed.

Are your badges and ID's legal to carry in all states?
They are all legal to carry and use, but many states have different licensing requirements and/or restrictions on designs and shapes of badges you can carry. Check with your local licensing office, state or city police, or check out this state list for bail bondsmen and bounty hunters at US Legal.
