How to place an order


How Do I Order Online?
Online Ordering is really quite easy! Just find an item you wish to buy, select a quantity and color (where applicable), and click on the "Add Item To Cart" button. The item you selected will be placed in your shopping cart. To buy the item, click the "Checkout" button. Follow the step-by-step instructions, and completely fill out the secure order form. Click the "Checkout" button once more, and your order is complete! You will receive an e-mail order confirmation when we have processed your order.


Do you accept Visa/MasterCard gift cards?
Yes, we accept these types of cards. Please be sure you have the correct billing address or address used when purchasing this card so your order processes successfully.


Do you take American Express?
No.


Can I Order By Mail?
Yes! We accept money orders and personal checks by mail. You can print and complete our mail in order form and mail in with payment.


Can I Order By E-Mail?
No. Information sent via e-mail is not secure. But with our secure online ordering system your order and credit card information is encrypted to prevent anyone else from accessing your information.


Can I Order By Phone?
Yes! Please call one of our customer service representatives Toll Free 888-642-0007.


Do you take checks by phone?
No. We currently do not offer this service.


Can I Order Without A Credit Card?
Yes! You can send money orders and personal checks by mail. You can print and complete our mail in order form and send with your payment.


Is there a minimum order amount?
Absolutely not. Order what you like without have to worry about meeting requirements.


Do you have quantity, bulk, or company discounts?
Yes. Please call and speak with a customer service representative for details. Our toll free number is 1-888-642-0007.


Do you have a dealer program?
Yes, we do have a dealer program in which approved dealers can purchase at a discount and sell our products to their own customers. First, please review our dealer policies and, if you would like to become a dealer, contact customer service at 888-642-0007 to begin your application process.


Can I Buy Gift Certificates Online?
Not at this time. But check back with us. This is a service we plan to offer soon!



Once your order is placed


What is your turn around time?
On orders placed for stock items, meaning items that are ready to ship at any time, the turn around time is one (1) to two (2) business days. On backordered items, shipment time can vary. Please call our toll free number for details if you have an item on backorder. For custom orders, please see the FAQ’s for custom items.


How Do I Check My Order Status?
You should receive a same-day email confirmation of your online order and a second e-mail confirmation of shipment when your order is filled. If you have questions about the status of your order, please contact us at 888-642-0007 or login to the Order Status page and it will list your orders and provide you with up to date order status. NOTE: You must be a registered member at the time of purchase to be able to view your order status online.


What does backordered mean?
When an item is backordered, it means we have run low or out of stock on this particular item and are unable to ship at the present time. You will not need to re-order the item. We will keep this item on your present order and when it arrives, will ship this to you.


How long do backorders take?
Backorder times can vary depending on the product. If you have ordered and received your packing list, please refer to this for your item's expected backorder time. If you need additional information on a backorder, please call customer service at 888-642-0007 for assistance.



Custom Order Questions


Can I order custom items online?
Yes, many of our custom items are available to order online. These items include custom badges, wallets, body armor, and PVC ID cards. Our website will collect all custom information before you add to your shopping cart. For PVC ID cards, you will only need to email a photo and/or signature needed for the card after you checkout.


How can I submit my information for my id card or badge?
For our standard ID cards or badges, no information is necessary. We do not customize these items. Our line of PVC ID cards can be customized and you can email your photo to images@nles.com and include your order number for accurate processing or reply to the confirmation e-mail and attach your photo to it. Our line of custom badges can be customized as well. You can find the order form here or you can order from our custom badge section of the website. Information needed for any custom work requires that the customer submit this information by email, fax, mail, or online during checkout. No exceptions.


How long do custom items take?
Custom badges take approximately 4 to 6 weeks before shipping. Most custom badge orders drop ship directly from our manufacturer, Smith & Warren.
Custom wallets take approximately 2 to 3 weeks before shipping. Most custom wallet orders drop ship directly from our manufacturer, Perfect Fit.
Folios and PVC ID cards take approximately 5 to 10 days business days to process before shipping.
Body Armor orders usually ship within 4 to 6 weeks.


Do I include or have to send a picture with my order for my id’s?
For standard ID cards or folio's, a photo is not necessary. You will complete this item and laminate upon receipt.
For PVC ID cards, you will need to either mail or email your photo along with your order number (if available).

Shipping Polices


How much does shipping and handling cost?
If you're ordering online, shipping and handling costs will be automatically calculated at the time of sale based on the order total and selected delivery method at the time of checkout. If your ordering through the mail or fax, please see our standard order form for a detailed chart on shipping and handling costs.


Which services do you use to ship my order?
We offer services through the US Mail system such as:
  • Standard US Mail
  • Priority Mail
  • Express Mail
  • International Air Mail
  • International Express Mail
We also offer services through UPS such as:
  • UPS Ground
  • UPS 2nd Day Air
  • UPS 3rd Day Service (not necessarily Air)
  • UPS Saturday service (only available on Friday)
  • UPS International Express
  • UPS International Expedited



Why can’t I ship, or can I ship, to another address?
Orders over $75 dollars MUST ship to the credit card holder’s billing address. No exceptions.


How long does a US Mail order take to arrive?
Typically, 7 to 10 business days from the time we receive your order.


Why can’t I ship my order via US Mail?
All orders over $300.00 and/or custom work must ship UPS services (signature required), or trackable USPS Service.


Why do I have to sign for a package shipping via UPS, or will I have to?
All orders sent via UPS services will require a signature. Orders under $100 can be sent without a signature, but only by customer request. This can be done under the message area during checkout.


Do you ship internationally?
Yes. You can choose one of the USPS international services or UPS international services.


Do you ship COD?
No.

How do I put the information on the id’s?
Information can be added, for example, with a typewriter. You can check with local colleges or libraries for help with this.


Do I include or have to send a picture with my order for my id’s?
  • For standard ID cards or folio's, a photo is not necessary. You will complete this item and laminate upon receipt.
  • For PVC ID cards, you will need to either mail or email your photo along with your order number (if available).



Do the laminates come with the id’s, or do I have to purchase them?
No, you do not need to purchase the laminates. Any id or folio purchase will include 1 laminate pouch per item, along with directions. If you require extra laminates, they are available. All PVC ID cards are made of a hard plastic that doesn't require lamination.


Do you sell handcuffs and guns?
We sell Handcuffs, restraint products, air soft pistols, and real action markers, but not guns. We are always adding new products, so we encourage you to check back on a regular basis.


Are the certificates filled in?
No. This is not a customizable item.


Do I change the center seal myself and are all the badges able to have this done?
Yes, the seal is changed by the customer. Most of our badges have this capability, except, but not limited to the M194, M134, M129, and M138. Also, any of the badges that are available in a wallet size are not able to have the center seal changed.
